5 simple ways on meditating at home

            Sometimes we need to take a break from everything. Do yoga, go out and explore or maybe pampering yourself. However, time can be a little constricted because of everything that’s going around us.  There’s a magically yet scornful word that doesn’t seem to go away, and that is the word “Stress”. Stress is actually a normal part of life, it has a purpose. Stress is your body’s way of responding to any kind of demand. It happens when there is a lot pressure that comes in different shapes and forms which also affects our physiological responses. It can be caused by both good and bad experiences. It may be a motivation in doing your work better or it may drive you insane. Some of the common problems of stress may come from too much workload, schoolwork, personal problems or even our simple everyday problems.   • Fear and uncertainty
  • Attitudes and perceptions
  • Unrealistic expectations

        Stress can be leveled based from personality and how a person handles a situation. Some can handle stress very well but some breaks down from stress.

        There is a method of relieving stress that can really refreshes our state of mind and emotions, and that is by doing “Meditation”.  According to Wikipedia, “Meditation is a practice where an individual trains the mind or induces a mode of consciousness, either to realize some benefit or for the mind to simply acknowledge its content without becoming identified with that content, or as an end in itself.” Meditation helps an individual to recollect themselves and straighten their minds to help them ease in finishing whatever problem or responsibilities they have. Also, meditation involves generating emotions and re-thinks the purpose to remove negative thoughts and feelings – such as anger, hatred and many more. Meditation has a calming effect that achieves fully self-awareness and fills up motivation to work and finish all things to do.

Here are some tips on how to meditation at the comfort of your home and can definitely do this every day:

  1. Sit in a quiet place at your house

        Stop whatever that you’re doing and just sit down and relax for a bit. Sit on the comfiest chair you have at home and have 5 minute silence every day will surely help you reflect, calm minds and relax.  It says that mind relaxing is a healthy thing to do to your health. Sit down, close your eyes, inhale and exhale and just breathe out all negative vibes and breathe in the positive vibes.

  1. Write your feelings in a journal

        Feeling down and feeling restless? Find a journal that can you write about our thoughts and ideas for you to lift of something off from your chest.

  1. Re-arrange your place with things that can help with relaxation

        Surrounding yourself with things that can help your relax and recomposed yourself. Placing pleasant things that will help your mind and eyes release. Light a scented candle or use colorful mugs or even pamper yourself at home with some DIY or Do-It-Yourself instructions.

  1. Read books or do something creative

         Having an R&R needs to have a good book to read. Reading can help relax our minds and let it have a day-off from thinking too much. Or use those books where you color them and just have fun. Or even play cars like UNO Cards.  Read aspiring or life changing books or a book that catches your interest. Books like Paulo Coelho’s, Cecelia Ahern, Rainbow Rowell or even Ned Vizzini’s – It’s kind of a funny story. Any book will do because it leads us into deep thought and at the same time being relaxed because we do not put pressure and release tension into o

  1. Watch movies or your favorite series

        Sit down and just click the remote or laptop. Watching your favorite show will help you relax because one, you are sitting comfortably in nice and comfy chair and second, is that you are having fun in watching that will helps us in a way of relaxing and at the same time reflecting or straightening on all things that we need to do. With watching, we can also acquire knowledge or life lessons from it that may help us in the future.
